*My FIRST review! LUSH mini haul - 'Seanik' Shampoo Bar & 'Sandy Santa' Scrub*
Hello Lovelies!! First post...HERE GOES!! So, I literally missed my bus just so I could pop into Lush – SOO worth it. Restocked my long time fav solid shampoo bar ‘Seanik‘ and took a wild card chance on a cheeky 50% off Sandy Santa scrub bar;)
‘Seanik’ Solid Shampoo Bar
RRP : £5.50
So, where do I begin! SEANIK is my absolute No.1 go-to travelling (or staying put) shampoo! It’s great to use as a break from my usual Herbal Essences combinations. I’ve gotta say…the first time I heard about these bad boys I was a TOTAL skeptic. How on earth could shampoo be solid and kept in a little tin?!? But my goodness, how wrong was I! You just rub it in your hands like a bar of soap, flips upside down and massage it into your hair. It literally lathers better than most liquid shampoo’s, and you only need to rinse – no repeating necessary! So good for those stressful alarm-didn’t-go-off, no breakfast, forgot everything mornings. It’s described as…
“Soften tangled locks and add oceans of shine with this mineral-rich, sea salt volumizing shampoo. Like a trip to a blue lagoon, Seanik is made with the best ingredients from the sea; softening Irish moss seaweed, and Japanese nori seaweed to make your hair soft as silk from root to tips, and sea salt to give body and volume to hair that’s fallen flat. One seriously sexy shampoo, we added lemon oil for extra shine, and the exotic far eastern fragrance of sensual mimosa and jasmine oils to bathe you in the heady scent of tropical flora all day long.”
SO TRUE. Cannot fault this product! The smell is HEAVENLY, I’d imagine that it’s what mermaids hair would smell like – a refreshing wave of sparkling ocean washed over with full bodied exotic perfumes.
SPARKLE TIP : Make sure you don’t leave it in the shower…it will turn to mush quite quickly :S I’d recommend leaving it to dry out for a bit après le shower, then pop it in the lush tin or a little Tupperware.
‘Sandy Santa’ Scrub
RRP: £4.50
As for my little Sandy Santa spontaneous wild card purchase, it certainly did pay off. At £2.25 who couldn’t resist a sweet smelling, sunglass-wearing Santa scrub! So this little guy is a limited edition winter scrub by Lush, and unlike scrubs I’ve used before Sandy Santa holds up considerably well compared to some of the more looser, easy to fall apart sugar scrubs. He’s basically a solid Santa shaped sugar and sand exfoliater you can use in the shower to turn winter-nipped, rough skin smooth and silky again! You simply wet him or break off a piece and wet that piece and scrub on elbows, knees, or anywhere you have drier, rougher skin. He lathers up a little bit and breaks down into larger grains of sugary salt to get skin glowing and smooth again! It’s described as…
“Those great Christmas traditions of sun, surf and Santa! A sunny citrus body scrub with hints of floral, to perk up winter skin or get summer skin swimming-suit ready.”
The scent is BLISSFUL and absolutely gorgeous. If I had to compare it to another fragrance, it’s sort of like a sugary, cocoa butter mixed with iced orange and exotic florals. AMAZING!
SPARKLE TIP : his little London-letter-box hat will temporarily make your shower feel like your in a scene from Psycho – but don’t worry, it leaves no residue on the skin!!
Will have more cheeky après-christmas/new year sale hauls and reviews super soon!
Until then,
Love and sparkles,
LUCE x
